Dr. Sayeh Beheshti offers thoughtful, individualized psychiatric care that honors the full complexity of each person’s life. She believes that meaningful healing begins with a strong therapeutic relationship and a deep understanding of each patient’s biological, psychological, social, and cultural context.
Personal Background
Born in the Middle East and raised in California, Dr. Beheshti brings a rich, multicultural perspective to her clinical work. She has spent her life balancing rigorous academic pursuits with a deep love for literature, writing, and parenting.
She received her medical degree from UC Irvine School of Medicine, where she was honored with Distinction in the Humanities and Arts. As a working mother and a lifelong writer, she approaches her patients with insight, empathy, and authenticity.
Integrative & Relational Psychiatry
Dr. Beheshti is experienced in treating a wide range of concerns—from anxiety and trauma to grief, burnout, and life transitions. She also supports highly functioning individuals seeking deeper insight, personal growth, or meaning.
Her treatment approach thoughtfully integrates psychotherapy, medication management, and—when aligned with a patient’s goals—guided imagery and mindfulness-based practices.
